A water brand, built to sell everywhere.

Lyto Labs, a natural hydration brand from Monterrey, asked us to build its online store, and everything that runs behind it: wholesale prices, store credit, invoicing and a network of partner businesses.

The challenge

Lyto sells to cafés, gyms and corner stores as much as to people at home, and a storefront alone couldn't handle wholesale prices, credit, tax invoices or the new partners joining every week.

01 · The store

Shopify underneath, Lyto on top.

We built a headless store on Next.js and Shopify: packs of 6, 12 and 24, one-time purchase or subscription with its own delivery frequency, and a cart that stays fast on any phone.

The design is Rik Bracho's and the photography Mariana García's. We made every screen of it work, in Spanish and English.

02 · Packs

Boxes that fill themselves.

Every pack is an isometric illustration we animated in code: choose 6, 12 or 24 and the bottles drop into a new box, in the color of the flavor. This is the real one, try it.

03 · Flavors

One site, every flavor.

Each flavor lives in Shopify as content, not code. Pick Orange Blend and the whole site follows: palette, copy, hero, cart, share image and even the favicon.

A new flavor added in Shopify shows up on the site without a single deploy.

The same page in each flavor: the theme comes from Shopify.

04 · 3D

From a 3D file to a bottle you can turn.

Lyto handed us the bottle's 3D model. We optimized it, from 13 MB to 465 KB, and brought it to the site as a real three.js object, in the flavor's colors with the label printed on it.

Later, to load faster, we rendered that same model into a turn that plays as a video: the same bottle, with no 3D engine on the page.

Then three.js, live · drag to turn
Now pre-rendered video · no three.js on the page

05 · Behind the store

Wholesale, credit and invoices, built in.

Every customer belongs to a price group with its own tiers and shipping. When a business checks out, the cart becomes a Shopify order at their price, and they can pay with their credit line.

The team runs all of it from a back office of its own: customers, price groups, credit and applications.
